Galgibaga Beach is one of the southernmost beaches in Goa, located in Canacona taluka near the Galgibaga River. It is an important nesting site for Olive Ridley sea turtles, and the Forest Department protects the beach during the nesting season. As a result, development is limited and the beach remains clean and peaceful. The sand is backed by tall casuarina trees, giving it a wild, natural look. Galgibaga is also known for a local variety of sweet potato grown in the sandy soil. Visitors come for quiet walks, birdwatching and to learn about turtle conservation. Swimming is possible but there are few facilities. It is worth the trip for one of the most unspoilt beaches in Goa.
