Querim Beach
Querim, India

Querim Beach, also spelled Keri, is the northernmost beach in Goa, lying in Pernem taluka just south of the mouth of the Tiracol River. Its long sweep of sand is backed by casuarina groves and low dunes, which give it a wilder feel than the developed beaches of Bardez. Across the river mouth, visitors can see Tiracol Fort sitting on its headland. Querim has long been one of the quieter beaches on the coast, with far fewer shacks and crowds than its neighbour Arambol. People come here to walk the shoreline, swim in calmer conditions, and watch the sunset over the open sea. The northern end where the river meets the sea is especially photogenic at low tide. It has been used as a location for film shoots because of its unspoilt look. Querim makes a good final stop on a drive along the Pernem coast, paired with Tiracol and Arambol.
