Palolem Beach

Palolem Beach in Canacona taluka is one of the most beautiful and famous beaches in Goa. It is a crescent-shaped bay about a kilometre long, fringed with coconut palms and framed by rocky headlands. The calm water makes it ideal for swimming and kayaking. Colourful beach huts line the sand during the tourist season and are dismantled before the monsoon. Palolem is known for its silent noise parties, where guests dance to music through wireless headphones to respect local noise rules. At the northern end, Canacona Island can be reached on foot at low tide. Boat trips leave from the beach to see dolphins and visit Butterfly Beach. It is worth the trip for one of the most picturesque beach settings in India.
