Patnem Beach

Patnem Beach is a small, quiet bay just south of Palolem in Canacona taluka. It offers the same lovely setting as its famous neighbour but with fewer people and a calmer atmosphere. The beach is lined with beach huts, yoga centres and small cafes during the season. Its waters are generally calm and suitable for swimming. Patnem is popular with long-stay travellers and families who prefer a laid-back environment. A rocky headland separates it from Palolem, and it is an easy walk between the two. Sunsets here are peaceful and unhurried. It is worth the trip for a relaxed alternative to the busier Palolem.
